The security challenges facing the country at the moment have caused us so much pains, fears, worries and anxiety over the last few months especially in Northern Nigeria. It's gradually digging deep into the South East and West following the recent happenings in Imo, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi and other states in Southern Nigeria.
Multiple sources of information including Punch and Sahara Reporters, have reported on the incessant killings of innocent people and security officials, burning down of police stations, the recent attack and setting ablaze, home of the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma by unknown gunmen suspected to be men of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
Meanwhile, in the North East where the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists group is said to have a stronghold in Sambisa forest, we have heard of reported cases of attacks and the recent hoisting of their flag in a community in Niger State, very close to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
However, in a bid to tackle the menace of the rising insecurity in the country, the federal government has continued to take delivery of sophisticated weapons and fighter aircraft to make the work easier for our gallant soldiers, who are fighting against the dreaded insurgents in the Northern trenches.
The most recent is the arrival of the 3 JT-17 Thunder Multi-role attack aircraft, acquired by the federal government of Nigeria and was delivered to the Nigerian Air Force from Pakistan. According to the report from Uncle Deji, who is a Military and security affairs expert, always report on the development of the continued fight against insurgency and insurrections, has said in a tweet about a few hours ago, that the next of expected delivery is 12 A-29 Tucano aircraft.

He was quoted in the tweet saying "UPDTE: The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of 3 JT-17 thunder multi-role attack aircraft, acquired by FGN from Pakistan. The next set of expected delivery is 12 A-29 Tucano aircraft."
Following this development, I am convinced that the menace of rising insecurity in the country may soon come to an end. This is because of the sophisticated weapons that have arrived in the country. Our soldiers need motivation and weapons to fight against the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists and with the current situation, I am hopeful that these fighter aircraft, other weapons will be put to use immediately.
