NAF denies paying bandits ransom to recover Anti-aircraft Gun

The gun was purchased not too long ago. The President had been planning to visit his hometown, so the gun was needed to back his aircraft up.

This controversial weapon was taken away from an Army unit after they had a drastic collision with bandits. The government knows the essence of the gun.

A representative of the Nigerian Airforce has put up a statement concerning the allegations going on online. It states that Nigerian government pays ransom to bandits to recover stolen weapon. The Commodore describes the information as false. He further says those miscreants are trying to taint the image of the government.

He said: “NAF would not have responded to such baseless and utterly illogical allegation but for the need to set the record straight as well as reaffirm the NAF’s unflinching commitment to decisively dealing with the armed bandits and all other criminal elements in the Country.”

These bad guys are allegedly using the blood money to build weaponry. One of them disclosed that they do not need Army weapons. This is because they already have their evil mines.

The Commodore also said that paying the bandits ransom encourages them to continue in the evil act. This is an act that the NAF is bent on crippling. The government body has recorded successes since they started the fight against bandits.
