2 Suggestions Made By Sen. Shehu Sani Concerning The Abuja-Kaduna Attack

The terrible activities of different kinds of insurgents have really caused unrest in the nation. More frequently, we record series of attacks from different parts of the country and that's really disheartening. One of the recent attack, is that of the Abuja-Kaduna train. Reports from Sahara Reporters, revealed that the armed bandits had attacked the train a night before the incidence happened. But fortunately it wasn't successful as the security agencies intercepted. Surprisingly the armed bandits returned again the following morning being Thursday, and were seen planting some explosives on the rail way but the train tumbled instead.

There have been a lot of reactions following the incidence as some Nigerians have blamed the security agencies for not imploring proactive measures, having gotten the information before time. Another person who has reacted to this issue, is the Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani, who commended the suspension of the railway services. In addition he made suggestions which might be helpful to ensure safety of citizens.

The suggestions are:

1.) Installation of sensors on railways: This would be helpful in detecting some explosives planted on the rail ways and also expose the plots of these bandits. It would definitely improve the intelligence of the security agencies in safe guarding travellers.

2.) Alternate means of traveling to Kaduna: Since the railway is on suspension, an alternative means of transportation to Kaduna would be by air and the senator has adviced that there should adequate security from the airport to the city to ensure safety.
