As regards to these attacks, the fulani herdsmen have been accused of being responsible as rumours claim that their invasion into the country has increase insecurity and that their intentions are not genuine.

On Thursday, the Governor of Abia state, during his speech to the Press in Abuja, he made a surprising statement by saying that there was nothing like an invasion of fulani herds instead he claimed they were those from our neighboring Countries like Chad, Mali, etc.

Furthermore, he continued by saying that Nigerians shouldn't be held responsible for the killings in the country rather those immigrants. He therefore made a suggestion to the federal government to engage more on security intelligence than just equipping the military with weapons.

It's Indeed shocking to hear the governor say such, even with evidences of these killer herdsmen attacking farms of innocent farmers and causing havoc in the country.
