Over the past weeks, some people have continually mourned the death of their friends and loved ones who may have been victims of the incessant attacks and killings. Plateau State has recently seen such a huge loss, causing many to not only express their empathy towards the affected ones but to live in severe fear.
Losing a loved one is quite painful, especially when if one encounters such. However, according to the latest report, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, has said the Armed Forces of Nigeria would do all within its reach to ensure peace returned to Plateau state.
According to Punch News who posted it on their verified social media page, the army boss disclosed this at the Defence Headquarters through the Military Information Officer, Ishaku Takwa in a statement on Thursday, he has activated the early warning and early response mechanism to prevent possible attacks on innocent communities, adding that security has been beefed up in volatile communities, urging the people to have confidence in the security agencies.
According to the report, the army boss was quoted to have said this, during the Security, stakeholders meeting with Chiefs, community and religious leaders of Plateau State held at Government House Jos with the titled ‘Greater part of peace lies with the people of Plateau.’
