El-Rufai Sacks 19 Political Appointees

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has approved the disengagement of 19 political appointees as part of the ongoing "rightsizing" exercise
It was learnt that the affected officials include two Special Advisers, a Deputy Chief of Staff and several Special Assistants, Bala Yunusa Mohammed, Deputy Chief of Legislative Staff (DCOSL), Halima Musa Nagogo, Special Assistant to DCOSL and Umar Abubakar, another Special Assistant to DCOSL, according to a statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House which was issued on Wednesday.
"Malam Nasir El-Rufai has thanked the departing officials for their services to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours,’’ the statement further said.
Soldiers destroy terrorists base in Yobe

The Nigerian Army said its soldiers fighting the counterterrorism war in the North East have destroyed a logistics base belonging to the Boko Haram group located at Kurkareta town, Yobe State, and arrested a suspected fuel supplier to the group.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, who made this known, said the soldiers on a clearance operation alongside members of the local vigilantes, recovered 62 jerrycans loaded with Premium Motor Spirit hidden in different houses and shops.
He also said that three vehicles belonging to the terrorists’ suppliers with registration numbers DAL 626 YE (Kano), GBK 413 GR (Benue) and XA 390 SHN (Borno) were also impounded by the soldiers

CBN Gov speaks about crypto currencies

Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central bank of Nigeria has said that most transactions conducted in crypto currencies are illegitimate.
The CBN governor said this on Wednesday at the monetary council meeting according to Nairametrics.
Emefiele was asked if he had a sense of consolation about the plunge in Bitcoin, and he responded by saying that the CBN has conducted research to show that most cryptocurrency transactions are illegitimate.
The CBN governor further revealed that under the Bitcoin cryptocurrency transactions, Nigeria comes 2nd but in the global size of the economy, Nigeria comes 27th
Emefiele Urges Bandits To Drop Arms

Governor of Central bank Of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele has appealed to the bandits on Tuesday to drop their arms and embrace the Federal Government’s iniatiative, Anchor Borrowers’ Programme (ABP).
Emefiele stated this at the two-day Monetary Policy Committee meeting in Abuja.
“I would like to appeal to our brothers, who decide that they want to live in bushes and forests that they should please, begin to retreat, drop their arms and come and embrace Anchor Borrowers’ Programme.
“If they do so, it will help them but if they choose not to do so, they will be confronted by the security as this battle continues,” Emefiele said
