The Calls for Resignation of Minister for Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Patami heightened after some shocking revelations were made about his links with Terrorist Groups, Al Queda, Boko Haram and the Taliban.
In a News Story by @SaharaReporters days on Monday, the Minister has been placed on US watch list for his alleged links to the Groups. The story continued to trend online with the Minister denying the allegations.
More shocking revelations were made few days later, with incriminating past statements and Audio Messages by Patami surfaces online. These revelations gave rise to an Uproar, with lots of persons calling for the Minister to Resign.
In order to scuttle and counter the Call for resignation made my lots of Individuals, Patami's Loyalists came up with a counter Trend, "#PatamiWillStay" and went ahead to gather supporters, promising them huge rewards for it.
In a Post on Twitter by one "Ayemojubar", the Conversation between one Dr. Saidu and another man was leaked. In the conversation, Dr. Saidu was trying to convince him to join and trend the Hashtag, promising him a handsome reward. The Man swiftly turned down the offer.
