Troops Kill Kidnap Kingpin, Rescue 32 Hostages In Benue

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have executed an infamous hijack boss, Zwa Ikyegh, at Tomayin town in Logo LGA of Benue State. 

The troopers additionally saved 32 prisoners held hostage for longer than a month. 

The Coordinator, Defense Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, in an announcement on Friday, said that the activity was done on Thursday. 

It said that some speculated hijackers got away with discharge wounds. 

The announcement read, "Following tenable knowledge on the exercises of an infamous hijack coop working in the general territory of Igbom town in Nenzev committee ward of Logo LGA, troops of Sector 2 and 4, on July 16 completed an assault procedure on a speculated ruffians nook at Tomayin town in Logo LGA of Benue State. 

"The courageous soldiers reacted with better fire driving the scoundrels than escape in chaos into the shrubs. 

"The fruitful activity prompted the salvage of 32 hijacked casualties, some of whom have been in imprisonment for longer than a month."
