[OPINION] EFCC Boss, Bawa Shouldn't Protect Boko Haram Sponsors, He Should Expose Them The Same Way UAE Did.

The war against terrorism has been going on in Nigeria for over a decade now. Several innocent Nigerians have lost their lives as a result of terrorism in different parts of the country, while many have been rendered homeless.

As it stands now, something should be done so urgently so as to restore peace and stability across the country.

Just this morning, it was reported that the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa stated that he cannot publicly mention those financing Boko Haram and other terrorism acts across the country.

I really don't think that the EFCC Chairman is making a good move here by trying to protect these Boko Haram Sponsors, by refusing to mention their names publicly.

Earlier this week, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, UAE, listed six Nigerians among those funding terrorism, so I really think that the EFCC boss should also expose sponsors of Boko Haram, so that Nigerians will know who they are.

If we truly want to end terrorism and other forms of insecuriy across the country, we must first of all identify those who are funding them in the country, then expose them so that people will know who they are.

The war against terrorism should be taken seriously in Nigeria now if we really want to win the war. The United Arab Emirates, UAE, is not a terrorist country, yet they publicly exposed those who are sponsoring terrorism. If the United Arab Emirates can expose sponsors of terrorism, why can't the EFCC Chairman and the Nigerian government do the same? I think that Nigerian government should follow the footsteps of the UAE.

Now is the time for the Nigerian government to do the needful by going so hard against these terrorists and their sponsors, because Nigerians deserve to live.

I know that many people will kick against what I just said here, but the fact still remains that we are all entitled to our own opinions and I have aired my opinion here.
