- BH Terrorists surrendering to Cameroonian forces.
According to EONS INTELLIGENCE, these Boko Haram fighters surrendered their weapons and ammunition yesterday, Sunday and on Monday morning. For now, it's not clear what is driving this reported mass exodus from Boko Haram/ISWAP.
However, military sources speculate that it could be as a result of pressure from security forces. Other sources blamed it on hunger among Shekau's associates taken over by ISWAP, which forbids predatory attacks for survival.
- Some terrorists with their loads.
Whatever be the reason, it's a good thing that the terrorists’ group is being depleted. The heat is on for Boko Haram fighters as they surrender in large numbers to the nearest border states from their enclaves.
Meanwhile, Niger and Chad security forces should be preparing for their share of the spoils.
