According to a news that was posted by Peoples Gazette yesterday afternoon, it was alleged that some armed bandits have confessed on how they do get the weapons they use in carrying out their banditry activities in Nigeria.
While they were talking to Deutsche Welle, the bandits confessed that they have been getting the weapons they use from the officers of State Security Service and that whenever they go about with their activities and they get money from it, they will also share the ill gotten gains among themselves.
Peoples Gazette made it known that while the spokesperson to the organization was contacted over the phone to speak about the allegation, whether or not the organization was aware that it officers were giving bandits weapons to operate, he declined the request.
Theophilus Danjuma, who happens to be the former Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army once said that, security agents were actively giving criminals guns to strike their fellow Nigerians for financial gain.
