Information filtering in from the North-East reveals that the Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have successfully captured a wanted and high-profile Boko Haram terrorist, Yawi Modu, who has been on its wanted list.

According to a statement made public on Thursday by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the wanted terrorist and his acquaintance were arrested along the Damboa-Wajiroko road, Borno State.

This was made possible through the military's recent incursion on Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists’ hideouts in different parts of the troubled North-East region.

Nwachukwu further divulged that in two separate operations, the military troops also raided insurgents’ Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) materials hub located in the heart of Damboa and Gashua Local Government Areas of Borno and Yobe States respectively.
