Soldier Fighting Boko Haram In Borno State Allegedly Disarms A 'Bomb' With Hands

Soldier Fighting Boko Haram In Borno State Disarms A 'Bomb' With His Bare Hands

Mixed reactions as soldier disarms an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with his bare hands.

During a patrol in Kafan, Ruwa town in Borno state, gallant officers of ‘Operation Tura Takai Bango’ discovered the 'bomb' buried in the ground.

In a video making rounds online, it showed the moment an army who is believed to be an IED expert scraping up sand with his bare hands to bring out the explosive device reportedly buried by Boko Haram terrorists.

The soldier while unearthing the IED, was with no anti-explosive body armor or any form of tools.

At first, he was scared but his colleagues gave him morale and he successfully removed the explosives without any casualty.

Some social media users who reacted to the video asked why would the soldier risk his life and that of other officers, but they’re countered and told them that in war, every available means to stay alive is welcomed and that the soldier should be given much accolades for his bravery.
