Following the ongoing Operation Golden Dawn that's being carried out by the Nigerian military in the Southeast part of the country, a welcome development report from Daily Post has disclosed how the Nigerian Army (NA) has today neutralized 3 unknown gunmen in Okija, a town in Anambra State.

According to Brigadier General, and the Director of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu who disclosed the report, he made it known that troops in the state had neutralized 3 unknown gunmen who attacked a police checkpoint in Okija some days ago and wreaked havoc in the area.

Brigadier Onyema further disclosed how these arsonists had tried to flee the scene while engaging in a gun duel with the Nigerian military but the gallant troops gave them a hot pursuit which led to the neutralization of 3 of these gunmen.
Consequently, in the light of the recent development, it may interest us to recall how these unknown gunmen in a publication from Sahara Reporters had attacked a police checkpoint in the same town (Okija) some days ago, and killed a yet-to-be ascertained number of Nigerian policemen who were on duty at the checkpoint before setting their vehicles ablaze. It was gathered that some of the policemen who survived the attack sustained major injuries as a result of the gun duel that took place.
However, considering the recent development on ground about how the Nigerian military has today neutralized 3 of these unknown gunmen who attacked and killed a yet-to-be ascertained number of policemen that were on duty in Okija town some days ago, it's confident to say without mincing words that justice has been done for the fallen heroes who died protecting their country.
