Nigerian Soldiers Overpower ISWAP Top Commander, Others In Damasak

On Thursday in Damasak, Borno State, Boko Haram senior commander Bukar Gana and scores of fighters on a revenge mission were neutralised. They met their doom after a week-long air and ground campaign in Mobbar Local Government Area resulted in the neutralisation of 12 high-value ISWAP commanders.

It's also worth noting that Damasak has been targeted several times and failed each time. Despite the nefarious activities of some local informants who often tip the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists on troop movements and positions, the fighting spirit of the troops remains strong.

A few days after attempting to assault Damasak, the Nigerian troops scored a major victory over the terrorists. During the attack, many residents of the town fled to the Niger Republic; they are now returning home after the military successfully repelled the attack on the city.

In the war against Boko Haram in the North East, joint operations between the Air Force and the Army have been a big success. The land troops are neutralising them as the Air Force officers strike them from the sky.

In order to win the ten-year war against rebellion in the North East, we must continue to pray for our forces.

Over the past ten years, the military has been battling Boko Haram rebels in the North East, spending billions of Naira on ammunition in the war against the terrorists.

How do we put an end to Nigeria's insurgency?
