Nigerian Army Promise To Secure NYSC Camps In Southeast

Due to the persistent attacks and insecurity currently troubling the South-east, the Nigerian Army has promised to help protect all the camps and corps lodges of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the zone.

The General Officer Commanding the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army in Enugu State, Taoreed Lagbaja, made this known on Monday in Enugu where he said he would see to it that more armed military personnel are posted to protect the camps against criminals elements.

Bandits Attack Katsina

Six persons have reportedly lost their lives in Katsina after bandits carried out fresh attacks on three communities in Sabuwa Local Government Area of the state.

The heavily armed bandits were said to have opened fire after they clashed with some persons along the road in the late hours of Monday night. The spokesman of the Katsina police command SP Gambo Isah was yet to comment over the attack.
