PDP Condemns Buhari For Not Taking Action On Killings.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for being silent in the face of terrorists occupation, mass killings, kidnapping, acts of banditry and escalated insecurity enveloping all parts of Nigeria.
The party, in a statement by its spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan, also lamented that President Buhari had kept silent while the nation burns, accusing him of worsening the situation and emboldening terrorist elements to unleash more violence on the nation.
4 People Killed In Akwa Ibom.
Two soldiers have been killed by a gang of unknown gunmen in Onitsha, commercial hub of Anambra state.
The military personnel according to a source in the commercial town were killed at Onitsha-Owerri area of Upper-Iweka on Tuesday evening.
Effort to get reaction of Anambra state police command on the incident was not successful as spokesman of the command, DSP Ikechukwu Ikenga did not pick calls put across to his mobile phone by this reporter.
Also gunmen killed two policemen manning a checkpoint at Urua Inyang, headquarters of Ika local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
Inimfon Silas, a journalist and chairman of the Federated Chapel of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), who hails from the area, said, “The armed hoodlums on several motorcycles, stormed the checkpoint and shot the two officers dead, while others fled.
According to the police spokesman, the commissioner of police and the entire police community in the state were very saddened by the development, given the fact that some officers of the command had earlier this month been killed by the hoodlums and others declared missing.

The senior pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman has declared that the enemies of Nigeria are within the leadership of the country.
The clergyman made the submission in a Twitter statement on Thursday in which he lamented about the current challenges facing the nation and its citizens.
Suleman in his submission however added that all those who don’t wish Nigeria well are in for big trouble.
Prophet Okikijesu Drops New Prophecy.
Apostle Paul Okikijesu of the Christ Apostolic Miracle Ministry has claimed that God revealed to him that the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba and the Minister of Defence, Retired General Bashir Salihi Magashi may be removed from their positions.
“Thus says the Lord: They may bring charges against the Inspector General of Police and he may be removed from office,” Okikijesu said in a statement to DAILY POST on Thursday.
He called on the new Inspector General of Police to resist coercion that can ruin the police force.
THE Department of State Services has said the Indigenous People of Biafra’s Eastern Security Network has acquired bombs and explosives with which they intended to destabilise Imo State.
The secret police stated that it received intelligence that the explosives were being moved in articulated trucks from Lagos to a hideout in Orlu, Imo State.
The DSS stated this in a letter to the Brigade Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, Owerri, Imo State.
The DSS letter with reference number, S.238/5/1538 dated April 26, 2021, was signed by I. Abdullah on behalf of the Imo State DSS Director.
It was titled, ‘Movement of explosive devices into the state by IPOB/ESN.
The letter read, “Intelligence revealed that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network has acquired bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices with which to further their subversive activities.
