Improvised Explosive Device known as IED has killed one soldier, injured others during an ambush by Boko Haram fighters.
It was gathered that the troops were returning from a rescue mission around 5:30pm in the evening along Maiduguri -Damaturu Road in Mainok when the patrol vehicle conveying the troops stepped over the planted IED (Improvised Explosive Device).
During the hit by the Improvised Explosive Device, one soldier died on the spot, while the rest sustained various degrees of injuries.
This is not the first time Nigeria gallant soldiers will be killed by Improvised Explosive Device planted by Boko Haram fighters.
Recall in the past months the same Improvised Explosive Device kills some soldiers during an ambush by Boko Haram fighters close to Buni Gari under Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe state.
How many Nigeria soldiers will have to die through an Improvised Explosive Device & Boko Haram ambush?
I think there are much needed to be done about this as it has become a major threat to Nigeria Army.
May the soul of 2nd Lieutenant Abdullahi Alhassan rest in peace, and the rest of the gallant soldiers that have died through Improvised Explosive Device.
