Do you remember Nigeria's first female combat pilot? Today makes it a year after her death.
Tolulope Oluwatoyin Sarah Arotile was the first-ever female combat helicopter pilot in the Nigerian Air Force. She contributed significantly to combat operations against insecurity in the northern states of Nigeria.
Recall that Tolulope Arotile died on the 14th of July, 2020 at the age of 24. According to Nigeria Air Force spokesman, Ibikunle Daramola, Tolulope died at the Nigeria Air Force Base at Kaduna after sustaining a head injury. She was hit by the vehicle of her former classmate who tried to greet her.
She was later buried on the 23rd of July, 2020. It was revealed that no autopsy was carried out on her body before she was being because her death was clear and some people witnessed how she died.
