It was reported that Abu Musab Al-Barnawi is the leader of Islamic State West African Province, Popularly known as ISWAP. He is the son of Boko Haram founder, Mohammed Yusuf, who got killed some years ago.

The information on how he got killed has not been confirmed. According to Daily trust, different sources gave different information about his death. Some claimed he was killed during a fight for leadership (supremacy) and many others. But the fact that how he died is unknown, should not stop Nigerians from celebrating his death.

In my opinion, I think the death of Abu Musab Al-Barnawi, will definitely cripple the activities of Boko Haram and ISWAP in the nation. Here is my reason for saying this.

Every group or entity receives direction from their leader. Now that the leader of this Boko Haram or ISWAP terrorist is dead, it will affect the group because there will be no one to direct the group any longer. They might not operate until a new leader is being chosen. This will in no doubt affect their activities greatly and increase peace in the nation.

I will advise the Nigerian Security agencies to take use of this opportunity and make sure Boko Haram and ISWAP Comes to an end totally. Now that there is no one to lead the group, defeating them will be so easy.

As a reader, what so you have to say about the death of Abu Musab Al-Barnawi?
