However, the activities of Boko Haram seem to be expanding to the North Central after Boko Haram members took over a village in Niger state. Governor Bello of Niger state confirmed that Boko Haram Insurgents have taken over Kaura a village in Niger state. He confirmed that these terrorist groups have erected their flags in this village. Governor Bello also mentioned that the wives of the residents have also been forcefully taken.

In a video posted by a former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, the Governor of Niger state showed his concerns about how close Kaura is to Abuja. He said that the insurgents used to stay in the sambisa forest in the past, but they are now close to people. He said that Kaura Town where Boko Haram insurgents Erected their flag is less than Two Hours drive away from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

However, I must say that since Governor Bello confirmed that these insurgents are only two hours from Abuja, then there is a need to worry.

In conclusion, just like Governor Bello said, there is a need for coordinated military action to put an end to the activities of these criminals.
