The Defense of Ukraine has left its citizens and social media users buzzing after mourning the death of a military father, Oleh and his son, Mykyta Khomyuk who both died in battle while defending their home country, Ukraine against the Russian occupiers.

The Defense of Ukraine tweeted: "Father and son, Oleh and Mykyta Khomyuk, died in a battle near Bakhmut. From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion both went to defend their lands as servicemen of @TDF_UA. They died together. True heroes don't die, they forever remain in our hearts. Glory to the Heroes!"
