Reports coming in from North-East, Nigeria, indicated that no fewer than nineteen Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and their family members have allegedly dropped their weapons and surrendered to the Nigerian military at Njimia Alafa area of Borno State.

Njimia Alafa is on the fringes of the troubled Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
According to EONS INTELLIGENCE, these terrorists’ families comprised of nineteen (19) adult females and forty-nine (49) children. They were all received by troops of Operation Hadin Kai.

Scores of sophisticated weapons were recovered from them by the Nigerian army and these include AK-47 rifles, bulletproof vests, MK-2 grenades, torch lights, cartridges, and lots more.

According to the timestamp on the photo retrieved by JAGGSMEDIA1, the insurgents surrendered around 7 am on Monday, 2nd August, 2021. From the predictions of some conflict experts, there might be more desertions within the coming days.
