The history of Nigeria civil war also called the Biafra war cannot be forgotten. It's part of us. Millions of people died mostly from the Biafra side either in the war zone or starvation. The war lasted for about 3 years from 1967 to 1970.
A picture of injured Biafra soldiers begging for help surfaced online and have caused several reactions. The war was not easy for them. They did not prepare but fought hard. The war ended when the Biafra army surrendered.

Years after the war, the Igbos are still marginalized. They have not yet attained the position of the President of Nigeria. Many groups on Biafra have spring up. Most have gone inside. MASSOB and IPOB are still pushing for it.
