Gallant Nigerian Army troops over the weekend repelled an attack by Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) on Banki town in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State killing scores of terrorists.
The terrorists who stormed Banki town to cause havoc were left to ruin this decision as the military with the aid of two (2) Alpha Fighter Jets successfully foiled their attack.
According to reports on Eons Intelligence, the Nigerian troops neutralized no fewer than eleven (11) ISWAP terrorists, including some of their notorious commanders. Also, several gun trucks and ammunition belonging to the jihadists were recovered.
- Recovered weapons.
This impressive victory is coming barely 48 hours after Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists reportedly reunited. Both groups pledged their support and allegiance to one Aba Ibrahim Al-Hashimiyil AlKhuraishi.
Aba Ibrahim Al-Hashimiyil AlKhuraishi was unanimously ordained as the ‘Khalifan Muslimai’. This development is coming two months after Abubakar Shekau allegedly killed himself during a fight against rival ISWAP.
