The Defense of Ukraine have left Ukrainians and social media users buzzing after taken to social media to mourn the death of its 29-year-old paramedic, Yana Rykhlitska who lost her life while she was evacuating the wounded near Bakhmut.

Yana Rykhlits was helping the wounded Ukrainian soldiers when the car was in got shelled by the Russian forces.

The Defense of Ukraine tweeted: "Yana Rykhlits, a 29-year-old paramedic of the 93rd brigade, died near Bakhmut. She was evacuating the wounded when the car she was in got shelled.
Yana was a true hero, ready to risk her life to help others. Eternal memory and glory to our fallen heroes!"
