Military Organisations around the world are creating and testing futuristic weapons that are more sophisticated than ordinary guns.
Here are some of the sophisticated guns;
#1. Cornershot guns:
The Cornershot is a weapon accessory invented by Lt. Col. Amos Golan of the Israeli Defense Forces in cooperation with American investors.
It was designed for use by the SWAT teams and special forces. It allows its operators to see and attack an armed target from corners without exposing the operator to harm.
#2. ADS Amphibious Rifle:
ADS Amphibious rifle is a Russian assault rifle that can be used under water made for combat divers and can be used under water. It has a bullpup layout and chambered in the 5.45×39mm M74 round.
It can also adapt a suppressor and Optical sights. The ADS is designed and manufactured by KBP Instrument Design Bureau, it has 700rpm rate of fire, 900m/s muzzle velocity and a 500m maximum fire range.
The ADS can adapt Iron Sight, Picatinny rail exists for mounting red dot/night/Optical sights.
#3. Personnel halting and stimulation response (PHASR):
The PHASR is a non-lethel laser dazzler developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy Directorate, US Department of Defense.
The PHASR is used to temporarily disorient and blind a target. Blinding weapons were banned by the UK in 1995 but the PHASR rifle, a low intensity laser is not prohibited.
#4. The Armatix iP1:
The Armatix iP1 is a magazine fed, semi-automatic smart gun. The Pistol is chambered for the 22 long Rifle rimfire cartridge. It is designed and manufactured by the german company Armatix.
The ip1 handgun comes with a W1 Active RFID watch for a smart system in which both part communicate through the radio frequency identification (RFID). In order for the handgun to function, the matching wrist watch must be within 10 inches of it.
It has an effective firing range of 75 yards with a detachable box magazine.
#5. Magpul FMG-9:
The Magpul FMG-9 is a prototype for a new generation of folding sub-machines guns, designed by Magpul Industries. It is used for concealable carry and can be disguised as anything. It has a barrel length of 168mm, 9×19mm parabellum cartridge, 1200rpm rate of fire and a 32 round box magazine.
