Those who grew up in the South-East region would agree with me that the Igbos are accommodating, peaceful individuals. Members of this ethnic group value their culture and also respect human rights at all times.
The current situation in the region ranging from incessant killings, burning of houses, and kidnapping of residents is indeed a misnomer that needs to be investigated holistically. As it stands, those carrying out the heinous crimes in the region seem organized and therefore must be dealt with in a civilized way.
In a move to bring to justice all those perpetrating evil in the region, a Human rights group identified as, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), has made a shocking revelation concerning those behind the killings in the South-East. The group also warned security agents in the region to respect human rights when dealing with those causing mayhem in the southeast.
We will be bringing to you the revelations HURIWA made and also the solutions to solving the current unrest in the Southeast region.

The first revelation HURIWA made about those sponsoring killings in the South-East is that they might be South-East politicians. According to HURIWA, the politicians are doing this because all fingers are pointed at IPOB and ESN. The group however urged the security agents to apply wisdom in fishing out the real culprits.
The second relation HURIWA made is that members of IPOB and ESN are to be protected by the government and not be killed extra-legally. I think this is indeed good advice. I think the Nigerian army needs to listen to HURIWA and conduct their activities in the South-East by international laws.
The third thing HURIWA said is that the Nigerian army should not work with the mindset that IPOB is behind the killings in the South-East, rather they should carry out proper investigations in the region.
What is your view?.
Do you think that HURIWA should be listened to?.
