Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed as two Communities in Lapan Gwari in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State were submerged by flood after a heavy downpour.
Breaking: 7.0 magnitude earthquake hits Papua New Guinea
A strong 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck a remote part of Papua New Guinea on Friday, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage.
The epicentre of the 79.8km deep quake was close to Morobe Patrol Post and shaking was felt in the capital Port Moresby.
Locals said they felt the tremor, but that it was not severe and images uploaded to social media show a wharf cracked in two.

Breaking: Federal High Court CJ, others self isolate over COVID-19 scare
The Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho has gone on self isolation and ordered some key staff in his office to do same.
They are to remain in isolation pending the outcome of screening tests conducted on the CJ, members of his immediate family and close aids, following a confirmed case of COVID -19 among his official aids.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the constitution of the Nigerian National Merit Award governing board (NNMA), by re-appointing five old members and the appointment of one new member into the board.
Breaking: Indonesian rescuers hunt for dozens missing after floods kill 36
Rescuers pulled bodies from under mud and debris Friday as they raced to find dozens still missing after flash floods killed at least 36 people on Indonesia's Sulawesi island.
More than 14,000 people left homeless by the disaster have taken refuge at temporary shelters in hard-hit North Luwu regency, with the country's search and rescue agency hunting for 66 people still unaccounted for.
