These killings have to stop, here are 15 pictures Boko Haram fighters need to see

Only God knows how many Nigerians souls have been sent to their graves by the needless war the Boko Haram insurgents are fighting with the Nigerian troops.

Initially, the Boko Haram fighters were clamoring for the immediate scrapping of Western education in Nigeria, especially in the North where they are originally based. When Boko Haram first came into existence in 2002, they were typically non-violent, their increasing radicalization led to a severe and damning launch of military operations on the jihadist organisation.

The military operations led to the arrests and execution of the jihadist group founder, Mohammed Yusuf in 2009. Abubakar shekau took over the leadership role of the group and since then the group has been extremely violent. This group launched a massive prison break in September 2010 in Bauchi state.

After this, they started launching suicide bombings of police buildings and the United Nations office in Abuja. It was reported that about 2.3 million people were displaced by the conflict since May 2013, and about 250,000 people have left and fled Nigeria to Cameroon Chad or Niger.

The group was reported to have killed about 6600 people in 2014. The group also launched a series of kidnappings across Maiduguri, the most popular one being the kidnapping of 276 school girls from chibok in April 2014.

On 17th March 2015, Boko haram's leader Abubakar shekau pledged allegiance to the Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant. They rebranded as Islamic state in West Africa. The killings in the north east is getting completely outrageous with the Nigerian soldiers dying every day in large numbers.

Perhaps the Boko Haram fighters need to see these pictures below to change their ways and mentality towards this needless War.

They should see the extent of their damages on lives and properties, were they created to be destroyers? They should change because they are humans too, and not animals.

I pray they change their minds and turn away from war.
