The tragic news of the first female combat Helicopter pilot hit the Nigerian Air Force yesterday. The vibrant combat officer was allegedly hit by a reversing vehicle.
According to Mr. Ibikunle Daramola who is the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Com. Disclose this on Wednesday in a statement.
His statement read in part, that a Flying officer whose name is Arotile was inadvertently hit by a reversing vehicle of an excited ex-officer of Air Force Secondary school classmate while trying to exchange greetings.
He further reveals that until her untimely death, Arotile has contributed immensely to the fight against insurgency, terrorism, armed banditry and she has accomplished several combat missions.
Undoubtedly, all sweet memories she has left behind will continue to linger in the anals of the country.
