It was sad day on Saturday July 18 2020, for a family member in Yammawa village Zamboanga local government area of katsina, when a five family members died on the spot, due to a bomb explosion. The bomb explosion happened on a farm land, the family member went to cut grasses for their animal when one of them stepped on Improvised explosives device. The device was said to have been planted on the farm land.
According to the report by Punch newspapers, the five family members died on the spot while the remaining six members were injured badly, and presently receiving treatment at a general hospital.
The police force under the Operation puff Adder, rushed to the scene of the incident to rescue the victims lives, the DPO who led the team said the victims were children of one Alhaji Adamu in the village.
The scene of the incident has condoned off, and men of EOD and IED are presently on site to detect if there are still more bombs on the farmland, and also disarm the explosives if anyone is found.
