Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the former President of Nigeria, has thanked God for answering the prayers of Udom Emmanuel, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State over who succeeds him. Obasanjo made the statement in Eket local government area of the state, after commissioning the 23.4 kilometers Eket-Etinan Road, describing the Governor as a leader with capacity.

He said: “Let me thank the Almighty God for this opportunity, for this day and for the people of Akwa Ibom. I have something to say and the first thing that I wanted to say is that what you see here is the performance of Governor Emmanuel.

“Odum, you have dignified me due to the fact I have come here to Commissíon road projects at your invitation more than any other State in the country. Governor you have achieved success. You have made the Akwa Ibom State better than how you made it, therefore you have succeeded,” Obasanjo said. According to Vanguard.
