After its National Executive Council meeting that was held in Bauchi on Wednesday, the Labour Party under the Faction of Mr. Lamidi Apapa has stated clearly that they are standing with the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to reclaim his stolen mandate at the Tribunal.
The faction stated that their stance has been clear about the crisis in the party. They asserted in the statement that they only want Barrister Julius Abure to stop parading himself as the National Chairman of the party. They also explained that they are not going to join any protest that could threaten the peace of Nigeria.
According to the Communique, 'The NEC in session believes in the rule of law and shall continue to stand with our Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi to see to the successful reclaiming of our stolen mandate at the Presidential election petition tribunal. While noting that we will not be a party to any unlawful act to cause a change of democratic administration violently as anticipated by Barrister Julius Abure and his cohorts.''
