European football governing body UEFA has reacted after Antony Santos scored a stunning goal for Manchester United football club in their remarkable 2-1 comeback victory over Barcelona football club in the return leg of the Europa League Playoff.
The Brazil national team star was dropped to the bench by coach Erik ten Hag, following the injury he sustained few weeks ago, but he returned to action for the club against Barcelona football club on Thursday night.
Antony Santos replaced Netherlands national team star Wout Weghorst in the 46th minute, and he was able to play a vital part in his team's well deserved victory over their opponent.
Barcelona football club took the lead through former Bayern Munich football club star Robert Lewandowski in the 18th minute to end the first half of the game 1-0.
Fred equalized for Manchester United football club in the 47th minute through an assist from Bruno Fernandes, before substitute Antony Santos scored the winning goal for Manchester United football club in the 73rd minute to end the match 2-1.
Reacting to Antony Santos' brilliant goal against Barcelona football club in the return leg of the UEFA Europa League Playoff, UEFA posted his picture on their verified Twitter handle with the caption of;
"What a finish."
Antony Santos will now be looking forward to continuing his impressive performance for Manchester United football club when they play their next League game in the final of the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United football club this weekend.
