Channels Television reports on it's official Facebook page that the Governor of Benue state has denied media reports that the G5 Governors are no longer in unity as they have been crippled by disagreements. The G5 Governors are PDP Governors that have vowed not to work for the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar as they claimed that the North can't produce the Presidential candidate and party's National Chairman at the same time, the G5 Governors argue that the two positions should be shared between the North and South.
According to Ortom, he said the media reports were peddling barefaced lies. The online media report had opined that the G5 Governors had broken apart over the decision of Wike to support Bola Tinubu of APC in the 2023 presidential ambition, which was against their initial plan to support Obi. The statement which was issued by Terver Akase, who is a Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Ortom read, the fake publication is the handwork of those who do not want to see the G5 Governors together, the quotes in the report which were attributed to Ortom are fictitious, those who desire to see the division of the G5 Governors are now out of ideas and have decided to start manufacturing fake news.
