Chelsea football club takes on Brentford this coming Saturday in their first game after the international football break hoping to claim all three points and maintain their position at the top of the English premier league.
The two clubs will square off for the first time in the premier league but they have met three times in the cup competitions with Chelsea winning two of those matches and drawing one.
But in this article we will be looking at what happened the last time Chelsea visited Brentford in the FA cup.
It was the fourth round of the FA cup on the the 27th of January 2013 and as with an FA cup game Chelsea fielded a second string team.
The starting eleven on the day included a certain Marko Marin and had Ross Turnbull in goal, with first team palyers such as John Terry, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, frank Lampard, all on show.
Chelsea had the expensive but goal shy Fernando Torres up front supported by skillful Brazilian Oscar.
It was the home side that took the lead jn the first half, Chelsea replied through Oscar but Brentford scored again from the penalty spot.
The home side was on the verge of taking all three points before Fernando Torres came to Chelsea rescue in the 88th minutes.
Fernando Torres scored late in the game.
Brentford currently is punching above their weight and it sure promises to be a classic game on Saturday.
