EPL: Wednesday's Night Matches, Fixtures, & Previews

Arsenal vs Everton

On Wednesday night, Mikel Arteta's club will play host to Everton at the Emirates in a Premier League matchup with vengeance on the agenda for Arsenal.

The Toffees lost to Aston Villa 2-0, which put them back in danger of being relegated, while the Gunners maintained first place after defeating Leicester City 1-0 over the weekend.

Leandro Trossard's incredible goal against Leicester was overturned before Harry Souttar went unpunished for a flagrant foul on Bukayo Saka in the area. This was not the first time this year that contentious VAR rulings threatened to jeopardize Arsenal's title hopes. However, at the King Power Stadium, Arsenal proved unbeatable and returned to the lineup with all three points thanks to Gabriel Martinelli's goal.

Arsenal possible starting XI:

Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Trossard

Everton possible starting XI:

Pickford; Coleman, Tarkowski, Coady, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye, Onana; Iwobi, Gray, McNeil

Liverpool vs Wolves

Liverpool and Wolves will resume their rivalry on Wednesday night for the fourth time in the Premier League, but it's unlikely that there will be any fireworks at Anfield.

In contrast to Julen Lopetegui's squad, the Reds labored to a point in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, while Fulham's players managed a point in a 1-1 draw.

After being humiliated 5-2 on their home ground by Real Madrid, Jurgen Klopp's team was definitely in shock. Because of this, Liverpool had a difficult time recovering before their game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, and both sets of supporters departed the venue empty-handed.

In the Reds' last three games, only five shots were on goal, and Wolves aren't exactly known for their attacking prowess. Yet, Selhurst Park's poor performances by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip in particular left the visiting fans biting their nails.

Liverpool possible starting XI:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Bajcetic, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Jota

Wolves possible starting XI:

Sa; Semedo, Dawson, Kilman, Bueno; Neves, Lemina, Nunes; Traore, Jimenez, Sarabia
