How Opera News Hub Have Helped Me Say No To Becoming A Yahoo Boy And Lessons To Learn

Hi, my name is Olumide, and I'm one of the earliest writers on the Opera news hub as I joined way back in December 2019 when I was looking for a side hustle to earn and assist my parents as a student in the University of Ilorin. I am a medical student, which means I have to spend a lot, from buying textbooks, to practical spending, and a host of other things. After I gained admission in 2015, things went downhill for my family, so school was very tough for me back then as my parents were not earning enough to give me enough and make school easy for me.

Due to the stress, hunger and lack of enough funds, I failed a lot of courses in my first year in school. All these weighed me down coupled with the fact that a lot of my friends that we gained admission together were already turning into big men as a lot of them were already involved in internet crime, popularly known as 'Yahoo Yahoo'. However, the kind of upbringing I have prevented me from dabbling into such an act, but it wasn't very easy.

I was on the verge of cracking and giving in to the peer pressure and join the group and learn how to scam people to earn also when I stumbled on the advert that said I could earn just by writing articles, and I don't have to pay to register. I have always been interested in sports, so I thought this was an opportunity for me to earn via my passion, and I signed up for Opera News Hub and started writing.

The journey have not always been smooth, there have been ups and downs, there have been months that clicks were so low and I didn't earn enough, but the hub earnings have kept me going through the hard times, and I've been able to ease pressure on my parents by not asking them for money like I used to and sometimes I even send to them when I earn enough.

So, it has been an incredible journey for me, and I don't want it to end anytime soon, I want to keep giving my best to the hub, and join other youths that are trying to make it in a legit way to say no to internet fraud. If not for the timely intervention of Opera news hub in my life, I would probably have more money now, but it most probably would be from an illegal source, so I'm proud of myself and my resilience. So thank you for reading my story, I hope you've gained one or two things from my story.

A few lessons to learn from my story is that no matter how tough things become, there is always a legal and moral way to get out of it without losing your identity. Also, being good pays off in the end, stay true to your beliefs and everything would work out. Thanks.
