Kenneth Okonkwo, the veteran Nigerian actor and Labour Party's Spokesperson in an interview with Arise News Nigerian alleges that Mahmood Yakubu bypassed the Constitutional process intentionally and willfully to manipulate the election in favour of the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu.
He went further in his speech to declare how much INEC has destroyed the trust of the citizens in the electoral processes.
"INEC destroyed the trust of Nigerian people in the process. In a democracy, the process is more important than the result and the process of conducting an election is very clear"
"In 2023 presidential election, Mahmood bypassed the process of transferring electronically the result of the presidential election intentionally and willfully in other to manipulate the election in other to pronounce Bola Tinubu the President"
He also went further to question why there was a supposed glitch in the BVAS server only for the presidential elections and not for the Senate and House of Representatives where he said:
"Anyone telling you there was a glitch in BVAS is the first liar of this election"
The interview with Kenneth Okonkwo has raised issues and suspicions in the minds of the public as to why the BVAS malfunctioned only at when results were to be announced and why the Constitutional provisions weren't followed
