Goal in the 85th minute through Eljif Elmas ensured North Macedonia came out as winners in the game.
Reacting after the match, Ilkay Gundogan has defended his fellow country man, he feels that it is the joy of Timo Werner to score in every match also in this one too, he felt sorry for the Chelsea attacker and believes Germany will bounce back from the defeat.
He (Gundogan) after the match said, "I’m sorry for Timo, he’s the one who wants to score the most, we have no choice but to continue. We all know that such a defeat shouldn’t happen to us." He was quoted in his post match conference.
