Norwich and Liverpool will meet for the second time this season, this time in the League Cup, just a month after the season began. Norwich lost 3-0 to Liverpool in their league opener, and that is one of their five losses through six games this season. Norwich's only win this season has come in the League Cup, where they defeated Bournemouth 6-0.
Prior to this game, they had lost 3-1 at home to Watford, their fourth game in a row in which they had conceded two or more goals, and just one game in which they had scored more than one goal. Norwich has lost their last four encounters with Liverpool, and they haven't won in their last 15 meetings with the Reds.
Liverpool has had a fantastic start to the season, winning five of their first six games and going undefeated. Liverpool has scored three goals in each of their past three games, and they have scored two or more goals in five of their last six.
Mohamed Salah has scored five goals in his last five games and will be crucial once again. The visitors are coming off a 3-0 win at home against Crystal Palace, but they have won five consecutive away games in competitive action.
• In each of their last three games, Liverpool has scored three goals.
• Norwich has four straight losses to Liverpool.
• In five games, Mohamed Salah has scored five goals.
• Liverpool has won five consecutive matches away from home.
Liverpool is having a fantastic season and will be favourites to beat Norwich for the second time this season. Mohamed Salah has been their standout player so far, scoring five goals in his last five games, and I expect him to score again in this game, helping Liverpool to a fantastic victory. The game will go down today at 7:45 PM Nigerian and UK time.
