President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed what Nigerians should expect from the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu when he takes over power.

Buhari, in a short video thanked Nigerians for electing Tinubu as president-elect through their votes.

He said he believed Tinubu would sustain his legacies and build on them towards achieving a greater Nigeria.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Sunday, said political leaders and not farmers should be blamed for the failure of Nigeria and Africa to take advantage of advancement in science and technology for the development of the agricultural sector.

Obasanjo said politicians caused the inability of the country to attain self-sufficiency in food production.

The former president stated this at a lecture organised to mark his 86th birthday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday stormed Lagos first time after winning the presidential election last Saturday.

Tinubu arrived amid rousing welcome in a homecoming manner, at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.

Shortly, after touching down he proceeded to the Iga-Iduganran Palace, on a visit to Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, with some other traditional rulers in the state and White Cap chiefs.

INEC ban negligent employees from March 11 elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has banned all its employees found to be negligent during the February 25 general elections from engaging in the March 11 governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

The chairman of the electoral body, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Saturday, disclosed this in a meeting with the commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioners.
