LP Crisis: Lamidi Apapa Has No Regard For Peter Obi; He Castigated Obi– Umar Farouk

The Factional National Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Umar Farouk, has insisted that the Factional National Chairman and embattled Deputy National Chairman, Lamidi Apapa, has no regard for the party's Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.

Farouk had said, "I did not see any regard that Apapa has for Peter Obi. Someone that has gone to the court to issue a statement, castigating the Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi; so which regard has he? He has no any regard for Peter Obi at all."

Farouk, who spoke during an interview on Arise Television, said Apapa has no regard for Peter Obi. According to him, the LP's Factional Chairman had castigated Obi, hence, he should not be regarded as a leader. He faulted Apapa for granting the interview, where he slammed Obi and called the former Anambra governor a liar. He insisted that Apapa should have approached Obi to make known his grievances, rather than slamming the former Anambra governor on National Television.

Farouk went further to say Apapa should not be regarded as the Chairman of the party. According to him, an appeal court had set aside the judgement of a lower court that sacked the embattled National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure. He maintained that the appeal court reinstated Abure and other principal officers of the party.

The LP's Factional Secretary insisted that Apapa was paid to create havoc in the LP.
