On February 22, 2023, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, visited the party's emergency operations center in Abuja.
This occurs soon after he and other presidential contenders in Abuja attended the signing of the peace treaty a few hours earlier. At the gathering, Tinubu had meetings with other leading contenders.
The presidential candidate entered the situation room, where party members who are committed to the cause will be watching the election's proceedings.
The APC election monitoring team is led by Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Raji Fashola.
In the situation room with them was Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate for the APC.
The presidential election, scheduled for February 25, 2023, is just two days away at this time.
Prior to their meeting, the monitoring team had been urged by the presidential candidate to put in endless effort for the party and to be on the lookout for opposition traps.
