In another venue, Arsenal Women, the first Team to claim a Title this season, heavily hurt Liverpool Women after a wonderful show of superiority. The Gunners returned to the Super League with a win after beating Chelsea Women to the continental title, 3 days ago. Stina Blackstenius made it 1-0 for Arsenal in the 28th minute against Liverpool Women. Arsenal doubled their lead 6 minute through Caitlin Foord's header, who made it 2-0 in the first half of actions. Arsenal failed to score in the second half but already secured a vital win in the first half of the game.
Chelsea women returned to the 2nd position with 34 points after their 13th league game, trailing Leader, Arsenal Women by a single point and a game in hand. Arsenal Women on the other hand are still in the 4th spot on the log with 29 points, even after beating Liverpool Women on the night. Even though Arsenal Women are out of the Champions League spot, they still stand a chance to overtake City Women if they won their game in hand.
