Well, it was the last day of the 2019/2020 season for La Liga and the expectation and drama for Europe is high ( as one must do well to qualify for europe)
Getafe, who needed a win to qualify for Europa league playoffs was not left out of the drama either, with two of their goals disallowed thanks to VAR ( one for offside and the other for a foul on the opponent) and a penalty missed by star player Jaime Mata who have been impressive for them so far.
Getafe, who were headstrong and confident that they would have a chance at Europe by qualifying for the playoffs missed out on the chance by Losing 1-0 to Levante and had to wait for next season for a chance at Europe.
Elsewhere in La Liga, Leganes had a late minute penalty overturned and was relegated to the Segunda division alongside Mallorca and Espanyol
Getafe missed a chance to Europe and had to realish the spot to Real Sociedad after their loss to Levante on the last day of the 2019/2020 season.
