Nigeria is a great nation with many great people who are great figures in the African continent. Nigeria may not be the best country in the world, but at the same time, Nigerians have numerous reasons to celebrate Nigeria's 61 Independence day celebration.
Despite the happenings in the country, Nigerians should be grateful to God for how far he has led us in so many areas.
1. Nigerians should be thankful to God for the high level of developmental projects that have been executed in the country; Nigeria may not be a developed country, but it is one of the fastest developing countries you can mention.
2. The Unity of Nigeria as a nation; Nigeria has been one of the most populous countries in Africa and yet, the country is still together as one sovereign state. This is an achievement to be celebrated.
3. The rising level of literacy in the country calls for celebration; over the years, Nigeria has fewer number of graduates in the country but presently, hundreds of thousands are trooping out for NYSC every year.
