La Liga, one of the most notable leagues in Europe provided us with the best footballing action in the competition yesterday. Some teams came out victorious in their various matches to secure vital points that aided their advancement on the league table.

Real Sociedad were brilliant yesterday as they did amazingly well to claim a massive 4-1 victory over a struggling Cadiz team at the Reale Seguros Stadium.

Goalscorers; Mikel Oyarzabal (Twice), Alexander Isak (Twice) and Jairo.

Yesterday's second game in the La Liga saw Valencia travel to battle Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Barria. Both sides failed to pick up a victory as they sat for an entertaining 1-1 draw courtesy of goals from Hugo Guillamon (Own Goal) and Gabriel Paulista.

Osasuna got on top of their game as they salvaged out a narrow 2-1 victory over Eibar at the Estadio El Sadar. The 2-1 result was summed up with goals from Jonathan Calleri, Ante Budmir and Kike.

Barcelona secured their sixth consecutive victory in the La Liga as they initiated a wonderful comeback to defeat Real Betis 3-2 thanks to goals from Lionel Messi, Francisco Trincao and Victor Ruiz (Own Goal). The Catalans earned all three points at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Atletico Madrid are top of the La Liga table with 50 points, Barcelona are second with 43 points, Real Madrid are third with 43 points while Sevilla sit at the 4th position with 42 points.
