Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Living Ministries, has challenged perpetrators of evil at all levels to stop immediately, adding that God's day of intense vengeance is closer than they may realize.
According to Daily Post, In his sermon titled "The Striking Prophecy of the Smitten, Smiting Stone," which was broadcast through satellite on Friday, Kumuyi admonished the people not to believe that God is blind to the atrocities and concerns taking place around the country.
While asking believers to maintain their faith, Kumuyi urged the people not to believe that God had abandoned them in their plight, emphasizing that the day when God will judge rulers and sinners and punish them for their misdeeds is just around the corner.
Kumuyi, who drew his text from Daniel 2:44-45 and Isaiah 53:4-5, described Jesus as the stone whose builder rejected but who has become the cornerstone, adding that whoever submits to the stone, confesses and repents of his sins, will be forgiven, but anyone who rejects him will be crushed by the stone.
"The kings of the world are presently governing but the time is coming God Himself will set and appoint a day in which He will judge the world via his Son, Jesus Christ, the Stone whom He has appointed.
"It may appear now that God has abandoned the world, and is not witnessing all the horrors being performed, but He is seeing them, and will judge the world in righteousness by His Son whom He has selected at His own time.
"A day when all the inhabitants of the earth will shudder. A day of deep darkness, a one-of-a-kind day that no one has ever seen before. "A day of judgment, a day of fear and terror that no one can bear," he declared.
